Forehead and eyebrow plastic surgery

Makes your eyes look brighter

People often notice in their late thirties (as well as in their forties) that their face has lost its fresh appearance and that the curve of their brows has flattened and descended. Flattened brows are also accompanied by sagging skin on the upper lids, making it more tricky to apply makeup because it tends to smudge. This is due to the effects of gravity and age-related changes that cause the forehead muscles to lose tone, making the curve of your eyebrows appear flattened and the upper eyelids droopy. Some think that now is the right time to have upper eyelid plastic surgery. In fact, it is the forehead and brows that need to be reshaped to restore a youthful look.

Benefits of forehead and eyebrow surgery

Dr. Tamme will recommend a specific surgical procedure only after assessing the condition of your forehead and eyebrows as well as taking into consideration your preferences. If only the outer sides of your eyebrows appear flattened, often all it takes is a simple four-to-five-centimetre incision above the hairline. If you wish to correct the whole forehead, it might require an incision above or on the hairline.

The most convenient method to address forehead wrinkles and sagging eyebrows is botulinum toxin injections - this is also known as the chemical forehead lift (and even as 'the lunch-break procedure').

Additional information on the surgical procedure:

Recovery: each individual is different and so is the recovery period. As a rule, you will need 10 to 14 days off from work. You can resume physical activity after four to six weeks.

Scarring: above or on the hairline

Anaesthesia: general or intravenous

Cost: depending on the preferred surgery method, prices start from 1,000 or 1,500 EUR
